Yesterday morning, we found a pair of ducklings wandering around in our cul-de-sac. We couldn't believe it! Mark caught them for Mika, and she was absolutely delighted. We put them in her wading pool with her, and she and the ducks swam together until rain forced us to bring her inside. (She threw quite a fit.) While it rained, we all took naps, and somehow, the ducklings escaped from our backyard.
I'm struck with the generosity of God. What a blessing to have played with those little ducks for the morning. What a joy to see Mika squealing with excitement and reaching out her teeny hands to touch an even teenier animal. What a gift!
